About Me
Hello! I am Cameron Kucin, a senior at Durham School of the Arts. I am in the Game Art and Design pathway, and I am currently enrolled in Advanced Game Art and Design. The experiences and skills I develop during this course are documented on this portfolio. I started taking this class is because I love drawing, and I love gaming. So I thought "Hey, why don't I take this class, which involves designing games and making digital art. Two of my favorite things!". My passion for game design remains unwavering, and I look forward to using the skills I have learned in this pathway and applying them in the real world.
One of my hobbies, as stated above, is drawing, whether that be on paper or device. Whenever I take my time on a drawing, and really put forth effort, amazing things happen. Several people have seen it, and so have I. I don't remember much from my childhood, but there was one critical point I remember after I was evaluated for having autism. I recall the doctor telling my parents afterward, "if he can just sit still and focus, there's no telling how far he can go." I've always used these words to push myself beyond my limits and capabilities, whether it be applied to my artistic or academic talents. I hope that others can find ways to push themselves past their comfort zones and reach new heights, because that's exactly what I plan to accomplish at Durham School of the Arts.
